He married Mary Phillips with whom he raised his twins Stephen and Stephanie along with their sister Julie near Hapeville.įollowing a divorce, Reginald later moved to Griffin and married Kathy Kilpatrick. Reginald moved to the Atlanta area and spent approximately 36 years of his professional life at GMC by starting on the line and moving on to quality control. He later graduated from John Marshall Law School. He attended the rural Altamaha Elementary School and then Jeff Davis High School, where he graduated in 1954. His younger brother, Frederick George Buck, also died in the War. in the Amara Cemetery in modern day Iraq. He died of wounds sustained during the First World War in Mesopotamia on 18 April 1916. He and his brothers Carlos, Richard, and Larry grew up working on the family farm in Hazlehurst, cultivating tobacco, cotton, vegetables, and prize winning blueberries. Bertram Reginald Buck (18951916) served as Private (10396) in the 5th (Service) Battalion of the Duke of Edinburgh’s (Wiltshire Regiment). Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 7th from 4-7pm at the West Haven funeral Home at the Green. He was a Sheetmetal worker for Local 40 and also worked for the West Haven Board of Education as a custodian, prior to his retirement. Reggie was a proud US Army Veteran, who served in Vietnam. He was predeceased by his son John Argus, his brother Gary Argus and his sister Deborah (Bobby). Reggie is also survived by his sister Rhonda Argus. He is survived by his devoted loving children Tina (Frank) Argus Klopping, Lynn (Steve) Calamita, Sherry (William) Crowell, Brandon Argus, his 11 beautiful grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Reggie was born in Rochester, NY, son of the late Alton and Josephine Mary Abate Argus. For 45 years, he was the loving husband of the late Patricia “Patty” Argus. “Reggie” Argus, age 75, of West Haven, passed away on April 29, 2022.
